Welcome to my life.
Since anything exercise related is just out the window these days, I have had to expand my list of hobbies. Ok, not really expand per say....
Fortunately, I can get around well enough to do daily clean-up and laundry around this house. I AM THANKFUL FOR IT. {Feel free to slap me in annoyance} It gives me something to do other than sit on the couch all night and watch my kid tear the house apart. And, the babe wants to be my 'helper'. So it also distracts her from tearing the house apart.
Despite my new found love for cleaning shit up, I still have some down time after the babe goes to bed. I have lately been left with the decision to watch TV series I'm not really interested in, or read a book I'm not really motivated to read.
Let me explain. After watching the shit out of TV for the past 3 weeks, I am caught up on everythingggggg. I've tried starting a few new shows. Just not into it. I have also been reading this book for the past 6 months now:
Literally 6 months. The problem with this series is there is about a billion details and it is a slooooooow build. I am finally at the half-way point, and things are getting more interesting. I've dedicated myself to read at least an hour every night. I also now have this one hanging out in my book shelf partially read:
Blarg. I'll probably have to set the same goal for this book once I finish The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest. I have a problem with books. No matter how much I dislike it, I just can't NOT finish it. I just can't let it go.

OMG - I MADE myself finish Casual Vacancy - but holy shit that book was long, boring, and tedious. LET IT GO. I can verify that it is just not worth reading.
ReplyDeleteI read the other 2 books book in the "Dragon Tattoo" series and I cannot bring myself to read the 3rd.
2 books I recommend? The Secret Keeper (by Kate Morton) and The Fault in Our Stars (by John Greene). I'm actually still reading The Fault in Our Stars, but it's REALLY sucked me in!
Ugh, I'm the same way. I've got three books sitting in our library right now that I still haven't finished but I won't put them back on a shelf until I finish them.
