Pregnant Women Are Smug

Effing son of a gun! Not all pregnant women are smug. Just some of them.

This video took me back to my prego days. I didn't enjoy pregnancy. I was always disturbed by the many woman that would come up to me and say, "OMGEEEE, I miss being pregnant! Don't you just love it!" 

What? And then they got this face:

I do not miss it at all. I even griped about it here. Sometimes I freak myself out. Like my stomach will make a little twitter, and I think "OH MY GOD. THAT FELT LIKE A BABY FLUTTER. SHIT. I need a pregnancy test STAT! I am going to end up on I Didn't Know I was Pregnant!"

And then I'm like...Oh. I'm on my period.

Haaaaaaaaaa. SIKE!

Now, just because I didn't love pregnancy doesn't mean that I don't love my kid or that I didn't want to be pregnant. We planned for her, and we made it happen on purpose.

I just think I had a really false idea of what pregnancy was supposed to be like. I had too many people telling me that it was the best experience of their life. So when it actually happened to me and it was like, "WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY BODY!", rather than, "Oh, what sweet bliss!", it kind of made me think...eff this pregnancy shit.

Can't we just have the same gestation period as an Opossum? 12 days. I could get on that train. Basically for 12 days you would just have to be out of commission. Because growing a child that fast would hurt something fierce. And you'd probably want to just die instead. But 12 days, as opposed to 9 months?
