This has been a vicious cycle for the past two weeks.
I have been doing things. But, talking about those things on the blog just keeps on getting pushed off.
First off, let's take it back to May 25th. This happens to be the date of my birth. Over the 27 years of my life, I have come to the conclusion I was born at the greatest time ever. My birthday is always on or near Memorial Day, which means a 3 day weekend to get my celebration on.
Let me just preface the next part of this recap by saying, if you are married/in a relationship; don't have children. Just don't do it. They tend to ruin all of your plans, almost always. I love my kid, but man, she tends to blow up our plans frequently.
Robby and I have a tradition of going camping over Memorial Weekend. It's just one of those things that we started doing. It's usually the first really warm weekend of the year. Over the past couple of years we haven't gone because we've had a small child. This year, Robby's parents volunteered to take the grandchildren to have a slumber party weekend.
Wrong. Little C got Strep on the Thursday before our long weekend. No more camping for us. See? My logic is sound.
Despite our homebounded-ness for a few days, we did manage to do a few fun things over that weekend. We went to the zoo, saw some animals, and tried not to get heat stroke.
Then we celebrated with some birthday sushi.
So, that was that.
One of my pals at work showed me this website, and told me to print of the PDF.
It's just a list of fun things to do in the summer. So far, it's been pretty fun. We probably won't get through the whole list, but the idea of it is fun. (I really just wrote fun in three sentences. FUN) I've been trying to do at least one or two items a week with Robby and Little C.
We decided to play in the sprinklers a couple weekends ago. Good old fashioned redneck fun.
We watched Hotel Transylvania for the first time. I love most movies that Adam Sandler is in, and this one was pretty entertaining too.
The latest and greatest, right here.
Any fun summer activities on the agenda?
